Meet… Yoan Velichkov – Joe!

The 5th of March approaches and with it yet another performance of  the “Show–lecture for happiness” featuring our member Yoan Velichkov – Joe. Who is Joe? Well, here’s some interesting info about him:

What’s your name?

Yoan Velichkov – Joe.

How old are you?

I’m 21, but luckily for me, I don’t look a day over  16.

How long have you been a part of the BHALG Theatre.

A little more than a year.

What is the funniest story you’ve had while performing or during rehearsals?

During one of our rehearsals, the cage in which my character was supposed to be trapped, was left open. I, being the genius that I am decided to leave, but after figuring out that there was no action I could take without derailing the plot, I calmly walked back in, closing the cage door behind me.

What made you chose acting?

I don’t consider acting to be a choice that I made. It’s more so a necessity for me, a source of knowledge and inspiration. Thanks to this oh so wonderful necessity, I’m always full of energy and passion to better myself and to keep on working, no matter how much mistakes I make.

What advice would you give to the people who want to pursue acting but lack the professional qualifications?

I’d like to use a quote from the great Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, because nothing I can say could compare to the following words:

“What You Can Do, or Dream You Can, Begin It; Boldness Has Genius, Power, and Magic in It.”

You can see Joe perform in the “Show-lecture for happiness” on the Shipka Open Art Stage.
